Peace can be a really hard concept to wrestle with and can have many different meanings based on who you ask. Peace is one of those words that gets thrown around a lot at Christmas time. It is something that almost everyone would agree that they want, but it is also one of the hardest things for most people to get.
So, What's It Going To Be?
The Christmas season is officially upon us, and while some people feel like Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year, many people don’t share the sentiments of that popular Christmas song. Depression and anxiety are on the rise these days, and the world can feel like a very dark place if you watch or read the news. How did we get here? More importantly, how can we go from just surviving the holidays, to actually experiencing the holidays as one of the most wonderful times of the year?
Not Today Wolf!
The past two years have left many people with a heightened sense of fear in their lives. I think a lot of us can relate to the story of Nehemiah right now and his longing to rebuild his city. I’d be willing to bet that there is at least one part of your life that has been torn down over the past two years that you would like to rebuild. I am hopeful that this new series will help you rebuild the parts of your life that need to be rebuilt in a way that makes them stronger than they ever were before.

Most people desire resolution in their lives. We don’t like to leave something feeling like there has to be more or like something is unfinished. I don’t know a lot of people who like books or movies that leave the ending up to the audience. It aggravates most people. We want to know what happens. We don’t like to be left wondering. There are many things in life that leave us thinking, “Really? That’s it?” as we walk away. It could be your job. It could be an event that you paid a lot of money to attend. It could even be a church service.
What's Your Sinai?
Now that we have dealt with identifying the things that we are giving our worship to besides God, let’s look at how we can fully immerse ourselves in total worship of God. How can we make worship a lifestyle? For me, the answer lies in the Old Testament at a place called Mount Sinai.
