Each week at Next Level, people just like you impact others in a positive way through serving. Whether it’s helping kids learn about Jesus on their level, helping out with students on Wednesday nights, greeting first-time guests, or pitching in behind the scenes with Production, every volunteer is making a difference!
Your time is valuable, and we are honored that you are considering sharing some of it with us. We are also excited to see what God will do in your life when you decide to join one of our serve teams. We know that serving alongside others is one of the best ways to meet new people and also experience God in a whole new way.

SERVE TEAMS
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
You never get a second chance to make a first impression, and this team makes it their mission to create a welcoming environment for all of our guests. Whether it’s in the parking lot, the cafe, the auditorium, or anywhere in between, this team is making sure that no one walks in and out of Next Level on a Sunday without being noticed.
CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
Our children's volunteer team makes it their mission to create a fun, safe environment where kids can learn about Jesus on their level. From praying over our infants, to teaching Bible stories to toddlers, to rocking out in elementary worship, this team does whatever it takes to engage our kids and show them how much God loves them!
PRODUCTION
Our production team is behind the scenes making our Sunday morning worship environment the best experience it can possibly be. Whether it’s singing or playing an instrument on stage, operating a camera, or running sound or lights, this team works to create a distraction-free environment where people can worship and experience God on Sunday mornings.
SECURITY
Our Security team is dedicated to ensuring a safe and secure environment during Sunday morning worship and other NLC events. Members of the security team actively monitor the buildings and grounds for unusual or dangerous situations and respond to medical or safety issues as needed.
STUDENT MINISTRY
Are you passionate about the next generation? If so, serving in our Student Ministry might be for you. Opportunities range from managing the snacks in the kitchen on Wednesday nights to engaging with students during small group time. Our Student Ministry is a fun and highly rewarding place to serve and make a difference!
PRAYER TEAM
Our prayer team makes up an important part of our church’s mission. We pray for others during Sunday morning service and also pray over our weekly email prayer lists during the course of the week. Not only is this what Jesus calls us to do, but the return blessings are plentiful! If you are passionate about prayer, our prayer team is the perfect place for you.
SINGLE MOM'S AUTO REPAIR
Our Auto Repair Team assists single moms who can not afford to pay for service/labor or who do not have relatives who can perform the needed service. If you are someone who loves to work on cars, this might just be the place for you.
International Mission Trip to Hondurus 2024
From August 30 - September 7 we will travel to Trujillo, Honduras for a mission trip in partenrship with Go International. We’ll be ministring to all ages as we partner with local churches to reach and minister to the local community. These small group meetings will last until we head out for the trip, however the depoist to commit yourself to going is a $250.00 non-refundable deposit due by May 30th. OUTREACH PARTNERS
Charlotte Family Housing’s mission is to empower working families experiencing homelessness to achieve life-long self-sufficiency through shelter, housing, supportive services, and advocacy.
The mission of Matthews HELP Center is to provide short-term crisis assistance to our neighbors in the Greater Matthews community. Our vision is to be the central location in our community where help and resources are provided to those in need.
HOPEmatch proudly partners with community members to spread hope to the unseen and the underserved. While we initially started a Christmas-specific organization in 2010, we now offer a wide range of programs and resources to provide a “hand up” to struggling families.
Bright Blessings exists to bring joy, care, and hope to homeless and impoverished children by mobilizing community volunteers of all ages. They do this through their core programs: Bless-A-Birthday, Bless-A-Baby, Gift of Literacy, and Gift of Care.
Compassion to Act is a faith-based ministry on the front lines of confronting modern-day slavery. We’re boots on the ground going where no one else goes to liberate women.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Charlotte provides a safe, affordable, and caring "home-away-from-home" for the families of children receiving treatment in area medical facilities.
Go International is an international organization that Mobilizes the local church to make disciples alongside indigenous partners. They train, equip and encourage indigenous leaders to make disciples in their own communities through long-term partnership and mobilize the local church through sustainable short-term missions. The mission of Operation Gratitude is to honor the service of our Military and First Responders by creating opportunities to express gratitude. They envision a future where all who serve believe the American people care.
Reliant Church is a new church or as we would call it a “Church Plant” that started in 2023. Their Mission is to pursue God, His presence and His Purpose, being fully RELIANT on His will above our own. Their plan is simply this: GO BE - serve the city, GO MAKE - discipleship, GO TELL- SHARE THE GOSPEL.
