What is worship? Is it singing songs on Sunday morning at church? Is it listening to a pastor preach a sermon and shouting “Amen!” when he gets to the good parts? Is it spending time quietly meditating each morning? The answer is yes. Worship is all of those things...and so much more.
I Know Better Than You Do
Scripture tells us to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Why? Why do we need to pray without ceasing? Why can’t we just pray about something once and be done with it? Why do we need to pray about it over and over again? Does God not listen the first time? Is He hard of hearing or something? Does He not understand what we are asking the first time? Does it take Him a little while to process our requests maybe?

Have you seen the T Mobile commercials where the person gets a broken message that ends up being completely wrong? How did the message get so messed up? Because the connection was weak. And for some reason, despite the fact that the message didn’t make sense, the person did not go back and verify or check the validity of the message. They just went with it. Ever been there?
Just Try It
Off the top of my head, I can think of eleven Bibles in my house for a family of 5. I’m not even including small New Testaments or digital versions. Yet, I’m embarrassed to say that I have never read the Bible cover to cover. I’ve tried a few times and made a good effort, but I’ve never succeeded in completing the task. If I’m being completely honest, I was a bit too focused on completing a task that I could check off a list instead of looking to see what I could learn.
