My name is Clay Monkus. I'm a pastor in the Charlotte area, and I want to start with something that probably sounds strange coming from someone in my position.

I walked away from faith.

Not recently. Back in 2007. And the reason I'm telling you that upfront is because if you found this post through Google, you're probably not looking for another Christian trying to talk you back into something. You're looking for someone who actually understands where you are.

It's 3 AM, and you're still scrolling. Your thumb moves mechanically while your eyes glaze over. Another video, another post, another fleeting moment of connection. Sound familiar?

A couple of years ago, I dropped my favorite Christmas coffee mug.

You know the one - that perfect mug that made every morning feel a little more festive, that had survived countless holiday seasons, and somehow made even gas station coffee taste like a Christmas miracle.

As Pastor Doug pointed out on Sunday, we have a limited amount of time with our children. So, how do we make the most of the small amount of time we have? How do we write the words of Jesus on their hearts? How do we best use our time with them to lead and guide them in the direction of Jesus?

God’s greatest desire is to be reconciled to His creation…ALL of His creation. This includes your enemies. This includes every person that disagrees with you. This includes every person who has wronged or hurt you. He desires a relationship with all of them whether you think they deserve it or not.
