Prayers We Pray

Prayer for Breaking Curses and False Agreements

Sometimes we carry words, wounds, or patterns that don’t come from God—things spoken over us, or things we’ve believed that keep us bound in fear or shame. This prayer helps you break agreement with those lies and claim your freedom in Jesus.

It’s not about superstition or magic; it’s about standing in the truth that Christ has already set you free.

Jesus, I come to You as my Lord, my Savior, and my Deliverer.
You alone have the power to save, to heal, and to set me free.
Your blood has paid for my forgiveness and my freedom, and I place myself fully under Your authority right now.

Father, I thank You for adopting me as Your child.
Your Word says that I am no longer under a curse because Jesus became the curse for me.

“But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing.” (Galatians 3:13, NLT)

Because of that, I declare that I am free—fully and completely—in Jesus’ name.

Right now, I renounce every lie, curse, or agreement that has ever been spoken over me that is not from You.
Every word of fear, rejection, shame, or hopelessness
Every label, insult, or judgment that does not reflect Your truth
I break agreement with it now, in the name of Jesus.

I cancel every curse, every generational pattern, and every false belief that has tried to shape my life.
It has no authority here.
I belong to Jesus.
My past is redeemed, my present is covered, and my future is secure in Him.

I also renounce any way I have cursed myself through my own words.
Forgive me for speaking death over my life, my body, my mind, or my future.
Forgive me for agreeing with the enemy’s lies.
I break those words now, in Jesus’ name, and I speak blessing and truth instead.

Jesus, I ask You to heal every wound caused by those words.
Wash away every trace of fear, shame, or oppression.
Restore my mind and emotions with Your peace.
Fill every place that was wounded or darkened with Your presence and Your light.

Holy Spirit, fill me with truth and freedom.
I receive the blessing of the Father over my life.
I receive the peace of Christ that guards my heart and mind.
I receive the power of the Spirit to walk in newness and joy.

From this day forward, my identity is rooted only in You, Jesus.
No curse can hold me.
No lie can define me.
No voice but Yours has authority over my life.

Thank You, Lord, that Your cross broke every chain.
Your resurrection proved every promise.
And Your Spirit now fills me with life.

I seal this prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, and I stand in the freedom You purchased for me.

Amen.
