TEACHING PASTORS
Todd Hahn
Todd serves as the Lead Pastor of Next Level and is one of the few Charlotte natives who actually still live in Charlotte. He has been a pastor, church planter, management consultant, and the president of an educational resources firm. He has written or co-written four books including his most recent, Thriving Through Ministry Conflict. Todd speaks around the country at workshops which help church leaders reach the emerging generations. Todd is married to Miranda and has two sons: Justin and BJ. He loves to run and once ran a marathon on a fractured foot, without knowing it, which may tell you something about his intelligence.

Jared Kirk
A Florida native, Jared serves as the student pastor at our Matthews Campus. He is also one of our teaching pastors. He is married to his beautiful wife Heather. Jared graduated from the University of Miami and moved to Charlotte to begin his ministry working with students as Student Pastor. He loves equipping people with a heart for God and a love for students to pastor the students in their lives.

Harrison Gillming
Harrison serves as the Pastor of Creative Arts. In May of 2007 he graduated from Liberty University with a degree in religion, and while he attended Liberty he was blessed to be a part of a worship team that led thousands of students. He is the husband of Emily and the father of Jake, and he couldn't be happier about it. He was born and raised in South Florida, but thinks that the Charlotte weather is a thousand times better. Oh yeah... don't even think of challenging him to solve a Rubik's Cube.

Mark Gillming
Mark serves as the Campus Pastor & Staff Coach to our Matthews Campus. He also oversees all of the LifeGroup ministry here at NLC. He & his beautiful wife Rene have 3 kids, Harrison, Brittany, & Megan.

Robbie McLaughlin
Robbie serves as the Creative/Communications Pastor at NLC. In other words, he makes sure we as a church communicate... uh... er... creatively, & effectively, with regards to all of our teachings, mass communications and series & set designs! He also works with the High School Ministry of NLC and leads the Sunday Morning HSM service. He and his beautiful wife Samantha are both Charlotte natives, which is pretty rare! They have one little boy named Caleb who was born in 2007. Robbie majored in Biblical Studies, and loves reading this "epic account of God and Man!" He has spent the past 5 years serving in Student Ministry in NC and VA. Robbie's favorite part about working at Next Level is getting to play a part in seeing God do unbelievable things in people's lives.

Kathy Risch
Kathy Risch is the administrative assistant for Next Level. With her organizational skills and heart for ministry, she enjoys attempting to bring order to the chaos! Kathy came to Charlotte from South Dakota in 2000 and especially loves the North Carolina winters. Kathy and her husband Kent are the parents of 4 grown children and more importantly, the grandparents of 5 beautiful grandchildren. Besides her family and Next Level, Kathy’s passions include entertaining, reading, riding motorcycle with Kent and the Minnesota Vikings!
Rene' Gillming
Rene' serves as the Children's Pastor at our Matthews Campus. She and her family moved to North Carolina in 2005 from Florida. Rene' and her husband, Mark, have been married for 25 years and have 3 grown children, Harrison, Megan, and Brittany. She loves being a wife and a mom. She enjoys organizing everything around her, reading all the time, and swimming.

Mike Grubbs
Mike serves as our Counseling Pastor. If you ever just feel like you're stuck in life, and could use a tow truck, Mike is your man! He also leads one of our most popular, and unique LifeGroups called the Men's Fireside Group. Rob Kendall
Rob Kendall serves as Pastor of Administration. His leadership skills and experience in business start ups and fast growth make him a natural for the aggressive strategy of reaching Charlotte for Christ through Project 485. Rob also leads the charge on handling ALL of the church's financials. Rob has been married 18-years to Janet and they strive to provide relationship rich parenting for their 13-year old boy Andrew and 9-year old daughter Elizabeth to grow daily in their relationship with God.
Melissa Jackson
Originally from Michigan, Melissa and her husband L.D. now call Charlotte home and are expecting their first child in September. Melissa serves as Director of Involvment at Next Level Church. She graduated from Spring Arbor University in 2004 with a bachelors of Social Work, and a heart for urban ministry. She is passionate about seeing others experience the power of being Christ's hands and feet.
Chick Efird
Chick serves as the Preschool Director at Next Level Church. She is originally from the great state of New Jersey. After graduating from college in the “Garden State”, she migrated to Charlotte NC where she met her husband of 25+ years, Jim. They have 3 of the greatest kids in the world. Chick absolutely loves kids, no doubt about it. She considers it a privilege to come alongside families in her community and help them lay strong foundations in their children as they grow spiritually, socially, emotionally and intellectually.
